little man

day by day you seem to deteriate yet, you dont seem to care

you have never once said this isn't fair

when the doctor's use you as a pin cushion, you don't cry

i don't believe i could be that strong

that's no lie

when i tell you that i'm making a you a poem you say, good for you

i slyly smile and say, i'll read it through

hush, hush little man, your time's almost come to an end

there is no limit to the money we will spend

when you are my rock

holding me to this chaos we call the world

i say, take another let me keep my rock

i puzzle over myself and say, i dont know the last line

you calmly say, don't worry it will come, everything will be fine

i wish you would have stayed true to your word

three in the morning i heard chirping, thought it was a bird

rubbed the sleep from my eyes and saw it was my phone

it was aunt jane, she was crying and pleading Nick won't wake up

for the next week i spent countless hours pleading with God to let you live

but, he was not willing to forgive

on the dreary day we each said our last goodbye's

you lay in the best casket that money could buy

when my turn came up i knew what to do

i still had an ode to you

i softly kissed your forehead and said in a cracked voice, i made a promise to you before hand

i hope you like it

hush, hush little man your journy's almost come to an end

there is no limit to what money we will spend when,

you are my rock

i say, take another let me keep my rock

i would have gladly have been that other

... I don't know exactly where to start. The first line was magnificant, the perfect line to catch the readers attention. You explained a story in few detailed words and that isn't something a lot of people can do so easily. I liked your repetition, and the few rhymes you fit into the poem. It was really beautiful.
